Xia Lingmin, vice president of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, said that in 2018, China's textile industry showed a slowdown in overall growth, but the economic indicators such as revenue, profit and exports of enterprises above designated size have increased. This trend will continue in 2019. It is hoped that all industrial clusters should increase their innovation efforts in accordance with the requirements of high level of scientific and technological application, high level of brand development, high capacity for sustainable development, and high quality of talented personnel, and strive to push the work of industrial clusters to a new level.

Liu Jianguo, president of the Shandong Textile and Apparel Industry Association, said that by the end of 2018, Shandong had a total of 26 textile and garment industry clusters, ranking fourth in the country. According to incomplete statistics, 26 textile and garment industry clusters completed the main business income of about 550 billion yuan in 2018, accounting for 46% of the province, accounting for 18.4% of the country.
In recent years, Shandong has continuously promoted the “Internet +” strategy, continuously explored new development models of innovative industrial clusters, actively built regional brand influence, promoted technological progress and industrial upgrading, and planned to promote transformation and upgrading, and actively develop industrial clusters. A series of measures such as the construction of service platforms, the province's textile and garment industry cluster has made considerable progress.
